FOUNDERS High School in Bulawayo has once again proven itself to be a force to reckon with in education after achieving an impressive 47,1 percent pass rate in the 2024 Ordinary Level examinations.

Their results surpass the national average of 33,3 percent, putting the school among the best high schools in the province.

In an interview, the school’s headmistress, Mrs Dorothea Moyo, said as a school they are thrilled with the results, which are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students, teachers, and members of staff.

“At Founders High School, we strive for excellence in all aspects of our student’s education, and these results demonstrate that our efforts are paying off,” she said.

Mrs Moyo attributed the school’s success to its commitment to its core values of excellence and dedication, as encapsulated in the school’s philosophy “Founders First, Founders Best.”

She emphasised that the school’s structured support system, which includes regular motivational talks, personalised mentoring programmes, and a reward system for top-performing students, helps to foster a culture of hard work and motivation among learners.

The headmistress also praised the school’s dedicated teachers, who she described as the cornerstone of their success. She noted that the school invests heavily in professional development programmes, equipping teachers with modern teaching techniques and resources.
