Four die in road accident

FOUR people died on the spot and 10 others were injured this afternoon when a commuter omnibus veered off the road along Mutare Road.
In a statement, national police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said the injured were rushed to Parirenyatwa Hospital.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirms a fatal road traffic accident which occurred today (Wednesday) at around 1330 hours along Harare-Mutare Road near Sunway City turn off.

“Four people died on the spot while ten others were injured when a Toyota Hiace Kombi carrying 18 passengers veered off the road before overturning and landing on its wheels.

“The injured victims are admitted at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals.

“More details to be released in due course,” said Comm Nyathi.
