Four more arrested over Mangoma assault

FOUR more MDC-T youths have been arrested on allegations of assaulting the party’s deputy treasurer-general Mr Elton Mangoma at in Harare a fortnight ago. Sources close to the investigations yesterday confirmed the arrests in Harare of Enock Mukandi, Steven Jahwi, Francis Machimbidzofa and Samson Nerwande.

The Criminal Investigations Department Law and Order Section at Harare Central Police Station is handling the case.
At the weekend, police arrested James Chidhakwa, the MDC-T secretary for security and defence in the youth assembly, in connection with the alleged assault.

He appeared in court on Monday and was remanded in custody to March 10.

Police are also keen to question Harare Central legislator Murisi Zwizwai, Dennis Murira, Shakespear Mukoyi, Rhino Mushonga and Paul Gorekore.
