Frank Chirisa to host a one-man show

COMMEDY Lovers in Bulawayo are set for a treat in August as Frank Chirisa will record his comedy special at the Bulawayo Theatre which seeks to address mental health issues and societal pressure.

The comedy special is titled ‘Funny Stories That Heal’ and is aimed at presenting how comedy can be used to address mental health issues. Chirisa said the comedy special will cover themes like mental health, grief and societal pressures.

“On 24 and 25 August 2024, my goal is to record a one-hour comedy special of Funny Stories That Heal. This comedy special is set to address mental health issues and show how comedy can be used to heal. The special will touch on themes like family, grief and societal pressures,” he said.

Chirisa stated that he will be having a tour of the city to promote the comedy special.

“My goal is to have about 50 shows in the city from 22 July to 20 August to promote the event. I have been working on this comedy special since l began comedy and a lot of work has been put into it. I am getting help from my fellow comedians and l appeal to comedy lovers not to miss the recording of this comedy special,” said Chirisa.
