THE Chibuku Super Cup final match to be played at the end of this month will be an all Harare affair between Dynamos and Harare City after the two teams won their respective semifinal clashes at Mandava Stadium in Zvishavane over the weekend.

Harare City clobbered ZPC Kariba 4-1 in the first of the fixtures on Saturday. In what turned out to be an entertaining match, it was ZPC Kariba who had took the lead through seasoned defender Thomas Sweswe’s header only for Harare City to hit back with a brace from Francisco Zekumbawira, an own goal by George Magariro and a goal by substitute Agrippa Murimba put the Sunshine Boys in the final.

Beaten in the final on penalties by FC Platinum under controversial circumstances last year at the same venue, Harare City have now found the target nine times in two matches following their 5-0 routing of Triangle in the quarterfinals.

Sunday was the turn of Dynamos to secure their place in the country’s most lucrative club competition. Despite being completely dominated by Chapungu for the better part of the match, Dynamos scored the all important goal eight minutes after the break, striker Rodreck Mutuma firing in after Chapungu had failed to clear out the ball from an Ocean Mushure taken corner kick.

Chapungu created a lot of goal scoring opportunities throughout the match but their strike force made up of Allen Tavarwisa and Tineyi Chitora could not punish Dynamos. Tatenda Mukuruva, the DeMbare goalkeeper also made some crucial saves to deny Waru Waru.
