Freight firm partners hip-hop star

Meklyn, who burst onto the hip-hop scene last year with his 10-track mix-tape titled “Darkdays”, confirmed the deal saying it was God’s work.

“First and foremost, I want to thank God for everything He has done for me. I want to say all my prayers were answered.
“The deal we have struck is going to promote Meklyn as a brand and more will be coming probably to other hip-hop artistes,” said Meklyn.

The 25-year-old musician said he was now targeting regional and international markets and was in the studio polishing his debut album “From Zero to Hero” due for release before year end.

He is riding high with tracks such as “ZRP” and “Daddy Cool” and “Dark Days” which is rich in lyrical content.
Meklyn has moved from just being a one- hit wonder to a well-rounded recording artiste. He has vowed to continue churning out hits which appeal to crossover audiences.

Distinct Freight Services founder Tawanda Chingwaru pledged to support Meklyn whom he described as a talented artiste.
“I have seen talent in him and I think given all the support he needs he can do wonders.

“As for me I am giving back to the community. The more he grows musically the more the community is catered for,” said Chingwaru.
Distinct Freight Services is a leading clearing, forwarding and shipping company.

Other musicians might be lucky to work with the company as Chingwaru is passionate about local music.
