SOUTH Africa-based clothing label Freshmap through its music record label, is continuing its mantra of uplifting young up-and-coming musicians as it has roped in the services of maskandi songstress Dumoluhle Mageza (real name Patience Tshuma).
The Tsholotsho-bred youngster was identified following her energetic performance at the inaugural Amaqhawanentaba Music Awards that were held in South Africa this past weekend.
Dumoluhle Mageza joins Jaycee Rapaddict (real name Sindiso Moyo) in the Freshmap stable with the latter sealing the year on a high note after he won the Best Hip Hop/Afro Pop Act at the Amaqhawanentaba Music Awards.
Freshmap founder Bhaker Golide said they will continue to support and uplift young talented individuals.
“As Freshmap, we’re dedicated to giving life to talented artistes and after seeing the talent endowed by Dumoluhle Mageza, we saw it fit to work with her by supporting her throughout her journey.
“We’re happy that such awards are uplifting our own artistes,” said Bhaker Golide.
Dumoluhle Mageza said she is elated that in the first year that she joined the music industry, she is already doing wonders.
“I started recording this year in May and I was driven by the dream of being an international maskandi artiste.
I hope that this is the start of great things.
So far, I have one album titled Emazulwini which has four tracks, the title track, Thando, Izincwadi and Usizi.
I hope to work on more musical projects next year through the support of Freshmap,” said Dumoluhle Mageza. – @mthabisi_mthire
