From Chillmaster to Roki: Mutare set for party weekend

MUTARE’S entertainment scene is set to come alive this weekend as some of the country’s most celebrated musicians and entertainers descend on the city for a series of shows, parties and social events.
With Chillmaster headlining a star-studded line-up, urban grooves heavyweight, Roki leading the Big Five Zim Tour, and several venues hosting themed programmes, revellers are spoiled for choice as the city gears up for another busy weekend of music and nightlife.
Fourth Street Bar and Grill
The venue hosts one of the weekend’s biggest shows on Saturday, with popular performer Chillmaster headlining a star-studded line-up that also features Emestiara Band, Bazooker, Pocah, African Wine, Terrible Twins, Edge Sparta and Irvinix.
The venue is expected to draw huge crowds as music lovers gather for a night of live performances and high-energy entertainment. Fans can look forward to an exciting atmosphere as established and emerging acts share the stage.
Jubilee Gardens
The venue takes centre stage tomorrow with the much-anticipated Urban Groove Legends — Big 5 Zim Tour, Mutare Edition. Headlined by Roki, the event also features Pauline Mafrique, Madiz, Tererai Mugwadi and Dino Mudondo.
The show is expected to evoke memories of the urban grooves era while introducing younger audiences to artists who helped shape Zimbabwe’s contemporary music landscape.

Chitsa Bar and Liquids
The venue continues to offer a full weekend entertainment package. Friday Vibes sets the tone with DJs Stixxie and Popinjo taking charge of the decks, blending chart-toppers with crowd favourites.
The excitement continues on Saturday as the duo returns for Ultimate Party Saturdays, delivering another energetic session. On Sunday, the venue slows things down with Classic Sundays, where DJ Tawaz takes patrons on a musical journey through timeless classics and old-school hits.
Club Mandisa
The venue is expected to be a hive of activity throughout the weekend as party lovers flock to one of the city’s popular nightlife spots. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and energetic crowds, Apple D, Silvibes and Nasty will work magic on the turntables with a mixture of amapiano, dancehall, house and local favourites. The trio will also perform in the VIP section where vixens will entertain the crowd.
Liquor Star
The Chigodora venue remains a favourite for those seeking a relaxed social atmosphere away from the city centre. Local DJs from Matondo Business Centre will entertain revellers throughout the weekend as the venue continues to attract entertainment seekers from across the district.

Music lovers can expect an evening of throwback hits and classic tunes that have stood the test of time. The event is designed to bring together fans of old-school music for a memorable night of dancing and socialising.
Comfort Bar
The venue offers another option for those looking to unwind after a busy week. Selected DJs will provide music throughout the weekend, creating a relaxed yet lively atmosphere for patrons seeking good company and great sounds.
Madziro Bar
The venue hosts the Men2Men After Party, providing the perfect follow-up to the highly publicised Men2Men event taking place earlier in the day. DJ Candyman and Friends will be behind the decks, delivering a lively mix of party favourites and dancefloor anthems. The after-party is expected to draw large crowds looking to extend the day’s festivities well into the night.
