South Africa-based artiste Mr Nambini is back with a fresh offering titled Ngixolele, a follow-up to his January release Uzobuya, which continues to make waves on both local and international radio stations.

In Ngixolele, Mr Nambini explores the vibrant Amapiano genre, a musical direction he says he has embraced due to its growing influence and appeal.
“Ngixolele tells the story of a man who spends all his money on clubbing, including transport fares, and ends up stranded. He calls his partner to say he won’t make it home that night. In that emotional moment, he apologises for ignoring her past warnings about his friends and vows to change, hoping she forgives him.”
Though set to a danceable beat, the song carries a deeper message that speaks to many.
“It’s about reflecting on the consequences of poor choices and appreciating the value of relationships. I think both younger and older audiences will connect with it, the youth because of its trendy sound, and older generations because of its relatable story.”
His previous single Uzobuya, which features Fab G Mshanakagogo and Altag, has enjoyed significant radio success.
“Uzobuya spent over eight weeks on the Top 20 charts on Khulumani FM and Skyz Metro FM in Zimbabwe, and also charted for two weeks on Demag Radio here in South Africa,” he said.
Mr Nambini’s latest work continues to position him as a relatable voice in the music scene, blending catchy beats with real-life storytelling. – Follow on X: @mthabisi_mthire
