LOVEMORE Munyamana is a man of many talents and passions. He is a well-known bodybuilder who dominated the Mr Bulawayo title for seven consecutive years from 2012 to 2018.
He is also a budding politician who took a break from bodybuilding to pursue a career in public service.
Munyamana’s career is testament to his discipline, endurance and concentration. He says he still loves bodybuilding, even though he has not been as active as before. He vows to return to the stage with a bang and impress his colleagues and supporters.
He is nicknamed “DeMbare” because of his loyalty to Dynamos Football Club whose jersey he proudly wears in his Mpopoma residence, where most people support Highlanders.
On stage, he is known as the “Black Dynamite”, a name that reflects his explosive performance and charisma.

“Bodybuilding is a very clean and individual sport which requires a set of skills and commitment to a strict diet and taking supplements to build up muscle,” said Munyamana.
Munyamana is also a savvy businessman who deals with electrical gadgets and satellite dish installations. He owns a shop at Thikili shopping centre in Mpopoma. He says he gets encouragement and support from his family, friends and the community.
Body building requires a lot of eating to fuel muscle growth. Munyamana says he has built a reputation and a network for himself both locally and internationally. He takes pride in his achievements, especially his seventh title of Mr Bulawayo, which he won at a show held at Elite 400, where he beat four other competitors.
“My advice to aspiring bodybuilders is to be positive and aim to be number one and desist from doping, expecting too much from people. It demands hard work both mentally and physically,” said Munyamana.
“I haven’t left bodybuilding, I just took a break to pursue something different. So to my supporters, please continue supporting me as before when I make my way back to the stage,” said Munyamana.
