Fruits and vegetables share space with uncollected garbage: Mbare’s health time bomb

As Zimbabwe enters the rainy season and a huge influx of farmers continue to deliver their farm produce, concerns mount over

the Mbare vegetable market’s sanitation.

The threat of diarrhoeal diseases lurks as dumpsites near the market overflow with rotting waste.

Harare City Council spokesperson Mr Stanley Gama is on record saying efforts are underway to address the issue.
