Fun, booze, braai spark joy @ 2025 Castle Lager Braai Fest

EPIC! This aptly sums up the 2025 Castle Lager Braai Fest which lived up to expectations.

This year’s edition was staged in style after weeks of captivating roadshows leading up to the main event at the Glamis Arena in Harare on October 18.

Doubting Thomases were silenced on a day where foodies, imbibers and revellers were spoiled for choice after a series of Micro Braai Fest events across Zimbabwe.

The Braai Fest was so colourful and diverse that attendees travelling from different cities felt they received great value for their money.

Celebrated as the biggest braai day in Zimbabwe, the event lived up to its billing as meat lovers indulged in various portions of meat along with beverages of their choice.

Known for attracting thousands of festival-goers, this year’s edition met all expectations with an impressive turnout.

The crowd was treated to energetic performances by local music sensation Winky D, the main act, supported by Master H, Saintfloew, Nutty O, EXQ, Nisha Ts, DJ Tira, Heavy K, Ammara Brown, Tamy Moyo and Chillspot Family. Nutty O graced the stage with style delivering a clean and energetic performance of his national anthem “Too Much.”

Dressed in purple costumes, Tamy Moyo enthralled the audience with her sass especially during her trending song “Mamero” featuring Silent Killer which had the crowd going wild.

Fresh from the hospital, Saintfloew brought an abundance of energy to his performance creating lasting memories for many festival-goers.

Ammara Brown performed flawlessly honouring her father during her act and making a triumphant return to the stage after months away.

Recently having given birth to her second child, she delivered one of her best performances in decades.

In an interview, Ammara expressed that it was a magical moment connecting with her fans: “When I looked at the audience, I connected eye to eye with my fans and it was so beautiful. It was a great joy to be part of this celebration,” she shared.

Fresh from releasing his latest album, EXQ kicked off his performance energetically warming up the crowd that had been entertained by DJs. His album “Rhaka Rhaka” is making waves in the music scene and his live performance did not disappoint.

Enzo Ishall made an impression when he sampled a new song ‘Musoro’ featuring Killer T. The chanter gave a clean act with fans singing along. Chitungwiza-bred chanter Master H who continues to rise in his career also delivered a stellar performance alongside his band.

The “Nawanadem” hitmaker thanked Delta Beverages for their continuous support of the arts in Zimbabwe through various initiatives. Master H’s catalogue including “Dhadzi,” “Zviri Mumoyo” and “Nawanadem” drew cheers from the crowd as they sang along.

Nisha Ts came prepared and delivered a standout performance solidifying her position in the entertainment circles. Zim dancehall stalwart Winky D known as the “Ninja President” performed second to last mesmerising the crowd with his signature blend of energy and charisma.

His polished act left fans in a state of delirium and was set to remain engraved in the minds of many in attendance with sing-along tracks that had the audience clamouring for more.

Winky D proved why he is one of the most sought-after entertainers in the country.

Top South African DJ Tira a familiar face to Zimbabwean crowds had a successful day captivating the audience with his polished performance. Known for his club hits and infectious stage presence, Tira easily won over the crowd through his engaging interaction. Closing the event, Heavy K’s performance was a fantastic way to wrap up the festival. He certainly knows how to take the stage.

As a testament to its commitment to promoting local talent, Delta Corporation has established itself as one of Zimbabwe’s largest and most dedicated arts benefactors.

Through various initiatives, Delta provides a platform for artists to showcase their skills entertaining thousands and fostering a vibrant cultural landscape. Initiatives include the Carling Black Label DJ Clash for DJs, the Chibuku Neshamwari Dance Festival celebrating traditional dance and culture, the Castle Tankard Zimbabwe’s premier horse racing event and Chibuku Road to Fame which empowers emerging artists.

The 2025 Castle Lager Braai Fest coinciding with its 10th anniversary turned out to be a significant celebration for the country’s biggest event promoting gastronomy, tourism, music and of course our people’s favourite lager – Castle.

With music, meat and booze on offer, this year’s Castle Lager Braai was the biggest yet—a decade-long tradition that continues to bring Zimbabweans together for a celebration.

After the successful 2025 edition, fans have every reason to look forward to the next edition in 2026.

For Delta and service providers, they can start making preparations now building on the 2025 edition which was a resounding success to be cherished for a while.
