Funeral parade for late Col Makova

THE Zimbabwe National Army’s 4 Infantry Brigade this morning held a funeral parade for the late senior army officer, Retired Colonel Claudious Makova.

The parade was presided over by Major General Simo Maseko at 4 Infantry Brigade Headquarters.

The late ex-Director of the ZNA Army Public Relations Department was declared a provincial hero and will be buried at his sugar cane farm in Mkwasine Estates.

Rtd Colonel Makova died last Sunday at Hippo Valley Medical Centre after being ill for some time.

Speaking at the parade, Major General Maseko said Rtd Col Makova raised the bar of patriotism high.

He challenged Zimbabweans to emulate the late Bikita West legislator’s life of loyalty to his country.

His body will lie in state at his farm in Mkwasine Estates today before burial tomorrow at 11 am.
