Funeral service held for volleyball legend Vulindlela Moyo

THE funeral service for Vulindlela Moyo, a legendary volleyball player and coach, has commenced at a city funeral parlour.

Moyo passed away on Sunday morning at a city hospital at the age of 58.

He is set to be laid to rest on Wednesday morning at Donkwedonkwe, near Kezi business centre in Matobo district.

Moyo is survived by his wife, Sitshengisiwe Mazaiwana.

The ceremony is being attended by present and former volleyball stars, including Bulawayo Metropolitan Volleyball Association chairman Munyaradzi Chigudu, Chekuda Makuyana, Itsanang Abu Basuthu, and Dumisani Vundla.

Just last week, Moyo was honoured by the provincial volleyball body for his significant contribution to the development of the sport.
