Gospel musician Fungisai Zvakavapano-Mashavave donated 40 choir uniforms to the Commander Air Force of Zimbabwe Charity Fund yesterday. The uniforms will be handed over to Murongwe Primary School that is benefiting from AFZ charity Fund.
“Since the time I visited Murongwe Primary School I was inspired by their talent despite their different conditions. They have the opportunity to be better than us if we give them the required support,” said Fungisai.
She said if different artistes support similar causes they will build tomorrow’s stars.
“They get the motivation from us and that is why I decided to donate the uniforms to them. I am glad to join hands with the Air Force of Zimbabwe and urge them to continue assisting the less privileged,” she said.
In a speech read on his behalf by Air Vice Marshal Jacob Nzvede, Commander Air Force of Zimbabwe Air Marshal Perrance Shiri thanked the musician for her helping hand.
“The donation of choir uniforms that we have received today from one of our own is in line with the objectives of the charity fund.
“We are confident that this donation will go a long way in improving the extra-curricular activities of Murongwe Primary School pupils especially the girl child,” he said.
