Rising musician Gary Tight says he will continue sharing the stage with big musicians in the country until he adequately sharpens his skills to make a huge mark on the local music industry. The musician, who is Willom Tight’s son, is set to share with Jah Prayzah tonight at Dandaro Inn.

The two have a duet “Ndazonyora” that is fast becoming popular among music lovers. With a number of songs to his name, Tight has managed to perform well at several events.

“Sharing stage with several musicians gives me room to improve on my work. I am happy that other musicians have shown their interest in working with me,” he said.

“I have worked with several established artistes and I am gaining experience that will be useful in my future projects. I am happy to learn from those that have been around for a long time. I have learnt a lot from my father and I am getting more exposure at shows.”

He said he is happy to share the stage with Jah Prayzah who is on top of his game.

Dandaro Inn manager Osca Nembire said they have prepared for the show that is likely to attract hundreds of people.

“Everything is now ready for the show. People should just come in numbers to see the two musicians on stage,” he said.

He said they have decided to have Gary Tight for the show because he was fast becoming popular.

“The young musician is working hard and we are happy to have him as the supporting act at the gig,” he said.

Gary Tight will also be bidding Jah Prayzah farewell before the “Jerusarema” singer goes on national tour.

The tour starts on Friday where he will be performing in Beitbridge before going to Masvingo, Kariba and several parts of the country.

Keen Mushapaidze who is the manager of the band said people should come in their numbers to see their favourite artiste performing and also to encourage Gary Tight.

“We have worked with Gary Tight before and he is a good young man who is talented. It is good we are performing with him before we go on national tour.

“We treasure all our fans in different parts of the country. We are happy that we have managed to line a number of shows across the country and we are optimistic that we drive them into early festive season mood,” he said.
