A SUSPECT in the sickening 10-day gang rape of a 13-year-old Mufakose girl has appeared in court.

Tatenda Manyepa appeared before Harare magistrate, Feresi Chakanyuka, facing multiple rape charges.

The court heard that on July 24, the complainant asked a friend to accompany her to the home of someone, identified only as Simbarashe, to collect her earphones.

When they got to Simbarashe’s place, 10 men arrived shortly afterwards.

The girl was allegedly drugged and she passed out.

When she woke up, she felt pain in her private parts.

Manyepa then allegedly bragged to the girl:

“Wairamba kurara nesu, manje zvatarara newe uchaita sei?”

He allegedly threatened to kill her with a knife.

The girl was released from the house last Friday after being gang raped on multiple occasions.
