Garlic-flavoured spaghetti, mince

Ingredients

500g packet spaghetti;

300g steak mince;

One small carrot, chopped;

Half teaspoon salt;

Two teaspoons garlic, finely chopped;

Quarter teaspoon ginger, finely grated;

Half teaspoon curry powder;

Two large tomatoes, chopped;

One tablespoon tomato paste.

100ml water;

Four tablespoons oil

Directions

  1. Get your ingredients together. Prepare the spaghetti according to the instructions on the packet. When it is done and you have rinsed it, return it to the pot. In a separate small pot, put two tablespoons oil, add one teaspoon garlic and slowly heat it up until fragrant. Pour this stuff into the pot with spaghetti and mix until well-incorporated. Set aside.
  2. In a separate pot, heat the remaining oil in a pan and add the carrots, onion, curry powder, garlic and ginger. Fry while stirring regularly until the onions begin to brown. Add the mince and salt. Fry until it also begins to brown.
  3. Add tomatoes and tomato paste. Stir and add water. Simmer on low heat until the tomatoes are cooked. Taste for seasoning and adjust accordingly. Enjoy!
