Gary Tight joins the fight against cancer

Afro-jazz musician Gary Tight has joined artistes in the campaign against cancer. “I believe as artistes we have a big role to play in transforming the society and this call to work with other artists in this project is welcome,” he said. The young musician will be working with producer Tungamidzai Simango, Pauline Gundidza, Alishas “Maskiri” Musimbe, Mzimba. He said he will influence other youths in the fight against the disease.

“We have lost a number of people including Tongai Moyo, Pretty Xaba and a number of people to cancer so for us it is our role to ensure a free cancer generation,” he said.

Producer of the project Simango said they decided to work with the youthful musician in the campaign.

“Gary is young which makes him the right candidate to work with the youths,” he said.

Gundidza urged other artists from different genres to join them in fighting against cancer.

0The group has released two singles and have performed at different workshops.

The groups has since engaged the Ministry of Health and Child Care and the Cancer Association of Zimbabwe with their project.
