AFRO pop musician, Gary Tight, is working on a new album titled ‘‘Afinhura Aspaka’’, reflecting on his life, and musical journey.

Speaking to H-Metro, Gary said the album has no collaborations.

“There are no collaborations on the album.

“This is my second album so I want people to know exactly who Gary Tight is.

“People have been asking a lot of questions like isn’t Gary the one who got his songs written by the late Oliver Mutukudzi?

“This album also talks about my story, from when I began music to where I am, right now,” he said.

He said his album was also loaded with motivational messages.

“Do you know that proverb that says ‘Akava datya ariyambutsa?’

“I chose to believe that this album brings out that proverb.

“It is an album that also talks about unity, love and is a motivation to everyone that no matter what we have gone through, or we are going through, we will always come out at the top.

“A lot of things have come over the past two years which have left people crying but now we are rebuilding our lives,” said Gary.

He added: “So, basically, the story behind this is about motivating people and ensuring them that one day everything is going to be alright.”

The album comes with a number of tracks.

“There are 10 tracks on the album, namely Afinhura Aspaka, Shumba Inoruma, Chemedzo, Tsoma Tsoma, Jehovha and more that you will see when the album drops.”

The album is scheduled to be launched on October 29.

“What I can promise you, in terms of the line-up, is that Sulumani Chimbetu, Progress Chipfumo and also my father Willom Tight are going to do a special performance.

“There are going to be more artists that we are going to add to the line-up,” said Gary.
