Gates and doors

GREETINGS beloved nation in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Today, we’re going to discuss gates and doors. First, I would like to define these terms:

1. Gate: An opening in a wall or fence; a means of entrance or exit, a barrier that can be opened or closed.
2. Door: A means of access or a barrier that can be opened or closed.

Everything in our lives is surrounded by gates and doors. The city we live in has gates, and it also has gatekeepers and watchers. As human beings, we too have gates. This is why the Bible states in Matthew 12:43-44 that demons refer to human beings as houses, and God calls us the temple of the Holy Spirit. If we are houses, then we possess gates and doors.

Our destinies also have gates and doors. The earth itself has doors; this is illustrated in Numbers 16:32, where we read that the earth opened up and swallowed certain individuals only to close up again. Marriages, nations and our individual lives all feature doors and gates. Some doors need to be closed while others need to be opened.

You may be wondering where these doors are. These are spiritual doors — the same doors that can usher in calamity, sickness and disfavour into our lives or conversely, prosperity, favour, good health and influence. It is crucial that we close the doors to negative influences and open the doors to blessings.

Many people may question why they struggle in their current city while a foreigner thrives. This disparity often results from closed gates and doors in their lives that prevent prosperity from entering while those of outsiders remain open. As long as the doors of your life are closed, nothing good can occur.

Do not forget that Heaven itself has gates or windows. By the Spirit of God, He aims to help His people by closing certain doors that attract negativity and opening doors for blessings. Isaiah 60:11 tells us, “Your gates will be opened continuously; they will not be closed day or night.”

Your life has gates that should be open continuously — from January to December, Monday to Sunday, 24/7. The Bible promises that they shall never be closed, allowing men to bring their wealth from surrounding nations.

Furthermore, it states that kings shall be brought to you.

We cannot discuss kings without talking about territories.

In the name of Jesus, I pray that by the keys of the house of David, we unlock the doors to wealth. Wealth is often more accessible than we realise; it can be drawn into your life. However, if your gates are closed due to spiritual hindrances or toxic speech, the blessings may never reach you.

It is vital to confront these gates; otherwise, you may never witness the fulfilment of God’s promises in your life.

Many of you are destined for greatness, yet you find your potential stifled because the gates to your prosperity are closed.

The account of Jesus’ resurrection illustrates this beautifully. In Matthew 28:1-2, we learn that there was a rock at the tomb of Jesus — representing a barrier to access. When Mary and others approached the tomb, they wondered who could help them roll away the heavy stone. However, the Bible tells us that an angel descended from Heaven and rolled away the stone. This monumental act signifies how spiritual barriers can be overcome through divine intervention.

These barriers may seem insurmountable, but remember, they are spiritual in nature. If you are pondering questions like, “Why am I not married?” or “Why won’t this sickness go away?” — the gates to your marriage, health, or employment may require angelic assistance to be opened.

The angel rolled away the stone and sat on it as a declaration of victory over the challenges posed by the enemy. While Jesus walked the earth, He continuously declared His resurrection after three days. Those confessions were recorded in heaven, which is why there was heavenly assistance at the time of His resurrection.

There are many with big dreams and visions yet to be realised. It is essential to recognise that the doors in your life may be closed to those aspirations. In the name of Jesus, I pray that your dreams begin to manifest through the divine shaking of the gates, sending angels to roll away obstacles standing in your way. (To be continued)
May God bless you all.
