SUPERSTAR Jah Prayzah is set to headline the festive season precursor bash dubbed “Shutdown Concert” tomorrow at the Harare International Conference Centre.
The gig, which is set to usher revellers into the festive mood, will also feature other household names trending on the local showbiz landscape. Man of the moment, Master H, the evergreen Tocky Vibes, Feli Nandi and Freeman are part of the bill.
Judging by the line-up, the bash promises nothing but fireworks as the youthful entertainers’ exchange notes under one roof.
It should be mentioned that all eyes will be on Jah Prayzah who has just made history by publishing his visual novel titled “Nhoroondo, THE BOOK”.
Feli Nandi, who hardly disappoints at such mega events, is expected to usher out all her artistic verve at HICC. Not to be outdone is Tocky Vibes whose maturity is thought of as beyond his generation. The ever-evolving Freeman will be out to show his fans that he has reinvented the wheel from the lousy chanter who used to play backtracks to assembling a live band.
Master H, who has remained consistent for the greater part of the year, has been rewarded for his hard work. A brainchild of Gateway Stream Media, a subsidiary of Rainbow Tourism Group, the gig is a must-attend for those who believe in class.
Show coordinator and Gateway Stream media manager, Elton Kurima, said it was all systems go. He also answered his critics who have been questioning the logic of naming the gig “Shutdown” before year end.
“We opted to put the event at the end of November as a build-up to the festive season mood. Fans should look forward to an evening full of unforgettable performances, an experience like no other,” said Kurima.
The event coordinator said the gig comes at a time when the HICC has been refurbished to meet international standards.
“The HICC is also perfect to host such big shows and is the most sought-after venue after its refurbishment. Revellers can be sure of their comfort and safety.”
He added: “We are on track with our planning process, all the service providers are in place and everyone is ready to make this night a success”.
Master H’s management by Benediction “Mpondasugar” Illusion said they were ready for the big event.
“We are looking forward to this event, we are rehearsing and fans should expect a top-notch musical experience.”
The energetic performer, born Hillary Marufu, has been a consistent performer.
Feli Nandi’s camp also promised a night to remember when they meet fans at HICC.
“The fans should expect the best of Feli Nandi, we are promising a great experience to those coming for the event. We are excited and cannot wait to meet the fans.
“We have been on a great musical journey, filled with great memories, we have had a lot of events that promoters planned and our events coming later this year,” said Feli Nandi’s publicist and manager Connie Mazani.
Feli Nandi hardly disappoints at such major events having adopted HICC as her favourite hunting ground.
