LONDON. — Chief executive Ivan Gazidis says Arsenal are in talks with transfer targets — and is “confident” of adding to the squad this summer.Gazidis is convinced Arsenal will flex their financial muscle in the transfer window and has admitted they are chasing a host of targets including Mario Balotelli, Alvaro Morata and Serge Aurier.
Arsene Wenger is likely to be handed a sizeable transfer warchest to splash out on players and has already identified a striker and a defender as immediate priorities.
Arsenal have been linked with Aurier as a replacement for Manchester City-bound Bacary Sagna while Balotelli is also in their thoughts with his Milan future up in the air.
The Gunners are searching far and wide and are hoping to put their money to good use as they seek to make an assault on the title next term. — Sky Sports.
