MANICA Diamonds defender Tawanda Chisi says they are now focusing on their upcoming league game against ZPC Kariba at Gibbo on Saturday.
The Gem Boys crashed to a 0-1 defeat at the hands of Ngezi Platinum at Baobab on Saturday, which left them in third place, three points behind the leaders.
ZPC Kariba edged Herentals 1-0 in their last encounter.
Chisi believes there is still a lot to play for.
“We lost to Ngezi despite putting up a good fighting spirit which was a bit of a hiccup in our title aspirations.
“But, as players, we are psyching ourselves to get in the right state of mind.
“We are focusing on our next game against Kariba and we have already pushed aside the Ngezi game to focus on our next game.
“Kariba won their last game and they will be trying to carry the momentum and have a positive result so we are going to have a cautionary approach against them as they can cause trouble on the break.”
He added:
“We believe we can give a good title run as a team and work our way to the top of the log.
“We are working hard in our preparations, as players we always want to play for our coach, the fans, and the rest of our team stakeholders.
“There is still a long way to the championship but we will take every game as it comes and fight to the best of our best abilities.”
