THE Gems, who finished fourth at the Celtic Cup, will again face the She Cranes of Uganda who won the tournament in Glasgow at the weekend.
The Gems and the She Cranes have turned their focus to the Africa Netball Championships, which get underway in Malawi next week.
The Ugandans will face Zimbabwe and Namibia, whom they defeated at the Celtic Cup, as well as neighbours Kenya in Pool A.
Group B has defending champions South Africa, hosts Malawi, Botswana, and Tanzania.
The She Cranes dominated the Celtic Cup and ended the campaign unbeaten.
They started their Celtic Cup campaign last week, beating all their opponents in the round-robin format tournament.
Uganda needed to win the tournament that was graced by hosts Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Namibia, and Zimbabwe so as to brighten their chances of improving their world rankings as they look forward to automatic qualification for the 2027 Netball World Cup in Australia.
The next world rankings by the International Netball Federation (INF) are expected to be released later this month.
Mary Nuba, who replaced Rachael Nanyonga as captain at the Celtic Cup after the former was denied a visa to Scotland, is optimistic that the Scotland event has prepared the She Cranes for the Africa Netball Championship.
“We are going to be facing the same nations in the Africa Netball Championships, hence this has been a good preparation,” she said.
