while legislators were contributing to the motion.
The motion had been moved by Mwenezi East legislator Cde Kudakwashe Bhasikiti (Zanu-PF) and seconded by Mt Darwin East representative, Cde Betty Chikava (Zanu-PF).

Clerk of Parliament Mr Austin Zvoma said Cde Bhasikiti would have to reintroduce the motion.
While Kwekwe legislator Settlement Chikwinya (MDC-T) was debating, the number of MPs in the House went down from that required to form a quorum.

There were 22 MPs instead of 25.

Cde Paul Mazikana (Mbire constituency Zanu-PF) then raised a point of order that there was no quorum in the House. The bells to alert the MPs were rung but the legislators did not return to the House.
Speaker of the House of Assembly, Mr Lovemore Moyo then adjourned the sitting of the House to today.
