DESPITE an academic record of 24 points at A-Level, Shalom Kanda’s dream of pursuing his studies further have been put on hold due to financial constraints.

The St Faith High School student wants to become a lawyer.

“I finished my A’ Level last year at St Faith High School in Rusape and managed to score 24 points in five subjects.

“Now, the problem is that my parents cannot afford the money for me to go to university.

“My mother is a housewife and my father works at a local bakery and the money is not even enough,” she said.

She added:

“I was one of the outstanding students in the country, scoring 24 points in five subjects History, Economics, History, Literature in English, Sociology and Family and Religious studies. Those who want to help me can contact me on 0776 262508.”
