adminunbelief, negativity and all that opposes the Kingdom of God.
There are environments that annihilate faith and cause no miracle, no breakthrough nor sign of life whatsoever to take place! Such was the case of one blind man from the Bible who was from Bethsaida (a place of curse) and could in no way get his miracle in the town! Read on and discover priceless jewels of revelation of how you can walk out of your Bethsaida of finances, marital problems, social life, business, academics and all parts of your life.
“And he (Jesus) cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and he be sought him to touch him. And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.” — Mark 8:22-25.
From our main text above we learn of a man from Bethsaida (place of curse) blind.
They asked Jesus to touch the man for a miracle but Jesus did not do as they thought or pray for the man immediately, but rather did three things which were unusual in his ministry for he was dealing with a different environment — Bethsaida!
These are revelatory to your coming out of the place of lack, coming out of barrenness, bad-luck, misfortune, bewitchment or curses that follow the blood-line; coming out of mediocrity, failure and all manner of curses that rule in a place of no faith.
Firstly Jesus unusually, took the man by his hand and led him out of the town!
Bethsaida meant cursed city. Sometimes when certain people are around you, things don’t happen.
The environment will be very heavy and dangerous.
There are people that as long as they are with you and in your life you’ll never experience a miracle or the touch of God!
For example as an individual the Spirit of God may tell you to pray and fast for a day or days but because of the environment of people around you, who will laugh at you, scorn you and mock, you will likely let go of the word, postpone and forego the fasting program!
That’s the power of environment.
It can shift and change a man’s destiny, either in the positive or the negative!
Understanding this, Jesus, knew there was no faith in the place and had to create a new environment.
Alone with the man, Jesus walked with the man. The man also upon realising he was walking side-by-side with the Lord Jesus grew some confidence and faith for his miracle!
You could be wondering “But Bishop how will Jesus also walk me out of my Bethsaida?”
Take heart, as you are reading this article, you are actually walking and coming out of your Bethsaida in His Name as well! You are coming out of your financial distress; unpaid bills, tormenting past, abusive circumstances, hurtful conditions of life and even haunting dreams and terrible night experiences. Walk out of that place of darkness! Your light has come, arise! Walk out to your miracle and breakthrough! This is your hour and this is your time! Walk out of faithlessness and be a man or woman of faith!
After walking with the man out of Bethsaida, Jesus spit on the man. This was unusual and risky as well! O hallelujah! A man or woman of faith is also a risk-taker. Certain circumstances of life needs tenacity, it needs guts and boldness to refuse and reverse what you do not like in your life. You will be blind no more in the name of Jesus! No devil, spirit or circumstance shall take advantage of you.
Here is a secret of life, friend; what you do not accept in your life has no door or power over you! When a negative circumstance knocks on your doorstep, resist it. Resist the devil and he’ll flee from you, James 4:7. All people who live for themselves die quickly before they are dead. All people who live for themselves give up easily! When you live for yourself you have no sense of fight! Fight the good fight of faith! Jesus fought. He saw you and me and endured the pain of the cross. He was living for us; hence he could not give up! O hallelujah. Live for a goal, live for a purpose! Refuse to be blinded!
Thirdly it is only on this account with the man from Bethsaida that Jesus, laid hands or prayed for the same man, same condition twice and also asked what do you see? Usually when Jesus prayed for someone, Bartimeus for example he would not ask him what do you see, because he already would be seeing. Hanging around a negative and faithless environment has detrimental effects to one’s walk of faith and receiving from God! If you have been told a lot of negative things about the Kingdom of God or the things of God, shake it off! Let go of it, and let the new and fresh life of the Word of God take precedence in your life! Stand on the Word of God, shake off unbelief; shake off doubt; Shake off all negativity in Jesus name!
This is your time and your hour to experience your breakthrough. Refuse to give up, refuse to throw in the towel! Cry for another touch in your marriage, another touch in writing your O levels again, another touch in proving competent at your job again, another touch of proving to your wife you can still be a loving husband, a loving wife, another touch to gladden your parents and do well in life again! You can do it! Go for it. One more time!
Another touch! Break those effects of a negative and blinded past by another fresh touch from the Lord!
As you finish reading this article, I pray you receive another touch from the Lord in Jesus name! See things as they are. See man as man; opportunities as opportunities! Receive another touch in Jesus name! Amen.
