KWEKWE-BASED film producer, Chris Chitovo, has dropped a short series movie called ‘Ghetto Diaries 263’ addressing the plight of young people.
The movie is aimed at educating the youths about how to tackle daily challenges.
“The purpose of this movie is to educate,” said Chitovo.
“Despite it having some romantic, comedy, action and musical scenes it is non-political. This is our first project, many episodes are yet to come out.
“These are diaries of what is happening in society. Some things are going unnoticed.
“We have nine episodes still to be released and we are shooting other episodes.”
He said, as the ghetto young people, they came up with the idea to entertain people through edutainment.
“We just wanted to find something to entertain people and something to do as youths and show people how our society is being affected.
“There is moral decadence in our societies, high rates of criminal activities and we hope to bring to attention to all these issues affecting us as young people.
“So, by coming up with this idea, we intend to bring entertainment as well as highlight the plight of the youths and how they can find ways to earn a living.”
The movie was produced by Chris T Chitovo (Chrisy T) and Tinotenda Bamala (Tino Bee).
