Girls La Musica pregnancy nightmare

Katongomara Saturday Leisure Correspondent
IT seems most dancers from popular dance group Girls La Musica have a tendency of sleeping around as yet another member, Nonceba Ncube (22) is pregnant but does not know who is responsible.  This revelation comes barely a month after another dancer for the Bulawayo-based female outfit, Thandiwe Tshuma, gave birth to a child whom she was on record saying she did not know who sired the child.

It’s also alleged that Ncube, who is heavily pregnant, is not sure who is responsible for her bulging tummy.  However, unlike her colleague who once contemplated terminating the pregnancy, the mother-to-be said she was prepared to be a mother.

In an interview with Saturday Leisure, the shy dancer said she was still rewinding her memory in order to come up with a man whom she thinks was responsible for her pregnancy.

At the moment she “thinly” believes it could be a man from Harare.  Ncube further revealed that she was expecting next month and she stopped going to work in September last year.

“First let me know who told you guys that I am pregnant? Well as you can see I am heavily pregnant and I expect to give birth next month. I am making some frantic efforts to reach a man whom I surely believe is the one who impregnated me. Of course there is a rumour that I do not know the man responsible for the pregnancy but the truth will come out when I give birth next month. I believe it’s a guy from Harare,” said Ncube.

Turning to accusations that most female dancers were part-time “sex workers” who entertain revellers after their performances to boost their paltry payments, Ncube said she would not rule that out.

“We have heard reports of such nature before but I cannot dismiss them. Female dancers, especially from newly formed dance groups who are finding it difficult to penetrate the flooded dancing industry, end up getting involved in illicit relationships with patrons.

They will offer them sexual services in exchange for money since payments from club owners is usually not enough to sustain them”, she said.
