Priscilla Taurai, leader of the all-female dance group, promised fireworks for revellers who will attend the show.
In a telephone interview from Bulawayo, Taurai said her group always loved to perform in Victoria Falls and in particular at Ko Panashe Leisure Centre because revellers who frequent the place appreciate their performances.
“Yes we are definitely performing at Ko Panashe this weekend. Everything is in place for this show which might be our last performance in the resort town this year. So I urge all our fans to come in their numbers for this end of the year show,” she said.
Taurai added, “People should expect fireworks on those two days that is Saturday and Sunday. Coincidentally, Saturday is 22 December which is Unity Day. So we want to celebrate Unity Day in style.”
She said the five-member group will perform some improved and new dance routines.
With virtually everyone on the streets talking about Beverly “Bev” Sibanda’s and Zoey’s exploits on the dance floor and with night spots in the country reportedly clamouring to have the duo feature at their venues, it is such opportunities which are very important for the once-famed dance group, Girls La Musica, to show their relevance.
Taurai once said that they will not be forced to change their dance routines in an effort to match Bev or Zoey.
“We are there to entertain patrons and make money, we have principles we stick to which border on being respectful to our bodies,” she said.
Ko Panashe will also play host to raunchy dancer — Zoey and the Red angels on Christmas Day.
Meanwhile, popular radio personalities and DJs, Witness Matema and D Train are playing at the Wildthing Action bar over the weekend.
