Chronicle readers have overwhelmingly tipped Highlanders FC striker Lynoth “Sonjy” Chikuhwa as the Soccer Star of the Year, with 88% of the vote in a WhatsApp poll.

Chikuhwa, the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League’s top scorer with 17 goals, is a strong contender for the prestigious award, which will be announced on December 8.

Yadah FC’s Khama Billiat and Simba Bhora FC’s Walter Musona secured the second and third spots, respectively, in the poll.

On Wednesday, journalists, coaches, and club captains voted for the PSL Soccer Stars of the Year. Notably, champions Simba Bhora dominated the list with five players: Walter Musona, Blessing Moyo, Webster Tafa, Tymon Machope, and Isheanesu Mauchi.
