Police in Harare have launched an investigation into the deaths of a married couple found in their bedroom at a house in Glen View 3 on Wednesday, following what authorities have described as a marital dispute.
The deceased have been identified as Nyasha Mhungu, 35, and his wife, Olga Muzhingi, 30.
According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), the bodies were discovered at the couple’s residence this Wednesday morning.
Investigators are working to establish the circumstances that led to the tragedy.
“Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Nyasha Mhungu (35) and his wife Olga Muzhingi (30), who were found dead in a bedroom at a house in Glen View 3, Harare, following a marital dispute,” a ZRP statement reads.
The deaths come amid growing concern over domestic violence cases in Zimbabwe, with police and advocacy groups repeatedly calling on community members to report disputes before they escalate.
