A 37-year-old Glendale man appeared before Concession Magistrates’ Courts charged with robbery.

Simbarashe Ngungo appeared before Magistrate Mr Joshua Nembaware, who remanded him in custody until June 22, 2023.

It is the State’s case that on January 23, around 8pm, at Chiweshe bus terminus, the accused person saw the complainant, who was going to board a Zupco bus, and tried to force him to board his vehicle.

The complainant refused and this did not go well with the accused person, who then started assaulting him with an open hand and boosted foot several times over the body.

The accused person then searched the complainant and took his cellphone and US$30.

Nothing was recovered.
