Glow Petroleum aim to keep foot on pedal

High flying Glow Petroleum will be hoping to continue with their devastating form when they travel to Harare for two Rainbow Amateur Netball League matches as they slowly make their intentions of a title at the end of the season clear in these early stages.

Coached by former national team centre and skipper Perpetual Siyachitema, Glow Petroleum has swept away everyone that dare stands on their way. Last weekend they obliterated poor Hwange at Lwendulu grounds 59-27.

She said teamwork and zeal to suceed more than the fear to lose is now in each and every one of her players’ heart.

Today though they face a formidable opponent in the form of reigning champions Correctional Queens in what is without doubt the game of the weekend.

In their second and last battle in Harare, Glow Petroleum takes to the courts against an equally good rival, ZRP Support. If they leave Harare unscathed, then their intentions would become even more louder.

In other matches set for Glenview in the capital, Pistons gets the group underway against ZRP Mambas before the police women wrap up their weekend with a duel against Golden Valley. ZRP Mambas were the highest scorers last weekend following their 99-15 defeat of HI-fliers.

In Masvingo, wounded Hwange Queens take on Tenax in their first game before winding up their business against HI-Fliers.

Ruwa and Khami Queens’ match was postponed so as to allow the prison wardens to attend a function at their base.

Meanwhile, Khami Prisons senior officers will this afternoon play a friendly match against Amavevane at the Prison grounds.
