God’s plans shouldn’t be questioned

Lord Jesus Christ more than 2000 years ago.
It is a period when we reflect on the sum total of God’s love for mankind according to John 3:16-17, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.”
There is so much to thank the Lord for in our lives, as we continue to receive abundant grace and favour.
As I pondered on how to premise feedback from people who attended the Threshing Floor Women’s Prayer Conference last weekend, the earthquakes hitting Japan kept coming into my mind, and with it the scripture 2 Samuel 24:16 which says, “When the angel stretched out his hand to destroy Jerusalem, the Lord was grieved because of the calamity and said to the angel who was afflicting the people, ‘Enough! Withdraw your hand.’ The angel of the Lord was then at the threshing-floor of Araunah.”
It is believed that it was at this location that the Lord Jesus was also crucified.
I asked a man of God, why Japan, and he said, ” . . . am still processing 2 Samuel 24, and we are seeing interesting stuff and getting personal rhema; quite a revelation . . . “
Maybe dear reader, you will get revelation on this. But according to Wikipedia, Japan has experienced 42 earthquakes since AD 684 to date, with magnitudes ranging from 6,6 to 9,0 on the Richter scale. This year alone, they have experienced four earthquakes.
As World War II was coming to an end in 1945, the United States conducted two atomic bombings against Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan, becoming the only active deployments of nuclear weapons in war to date.
But the love of the Lord has continued to shine on Japan reminding me of what He says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you . . . plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give hope and a future.”
We have seen Japan arising and moving on as if nothing had happened. That tenacity, is God-given, and this is what Zimbabweans need.
The Lord continues to stand by the people of Japan and as Christians, we should pray for them, and their country, just as people from all over the world pray for us during difficult times.
We should also remember the people of Japan and others in equally difficult situations, knowing that the devil was dealt a heavy blow by the Lord Jesus.
Feedback on Prayer Conference
Nyaradzai V Mavindidze
What started off at the beginning of the year as an interdenominational prayer group of 10-15 women led by Priscilla Wazara has turned out into an outbreak of prayer for the nation.
I went into the prayer group wanting to seek God for my own personal growth. I had my agenda and prayer shopping list tucked under my arm.
After about two months, Priscilla shared that God had given her a revelation and instruction concerning prayer for the nation based on the Cindy Jacobs prophecy.
As a group, those willing were to assist in hosting a prayer conference, praying for Zimbabwe.
I love my country and occasionally I pray for it, but I was too wrapped up in my own issues to think of making it my mission.
With approximately 30 days to the date we set off, each woman using their gift to plan and prepare to host the conference.
The Friday afternoons that used to be afternoons of personal prayer and ministry soon turned into planning and prayer sessions for the Conference . . . my agenda and prayer shopping list soon disappeared.
God came through in every way as He provided for the needs of the conference. We had gracious sponsors, and Pastor Shingi Munyeza, who is Priscilla’s pastor availed Faith Ministries Borrowdale Church and all its amenities for our use on that day.
As the days drew closer, word spread like wild fire. Women as far as England, United Stated, joined in and committed to pray for the nation . . . just like Cindy Jacob’s prophecy says, ” . . . An army of women with the Deborah anointing will march across the land. They will be like a net all over Zimbabwe, with prayer . . . “
All over Zimbabwe it seemed women were also praying. On the day, a 350-strong group of women gathered in one place, with one voice to pray for God’s blessing over our great nation.
Giants like Pastor Chichi Bismark (who released a 27/7 prayer anointing, individuals, homes and communities rising up and praying daily for the nation).
Mrs Mwela led the women in travailing for the rebirth of the nation; Mrs Ranganai released the birth of a new season for the nation and Pastor Petunia Chiriseri released an empowering anointing over the women; Ms Alice Mutema prayed for unity and, Mrs Wazara led the women in repentance concerning accepting unholy practices like adultery in society.
Actually, I cannot even begin to exhaust the happenings of the day . . . All I can say is that this and so much more happened. My life will never be the same. I now carry Zimbabwe closer to my heart than before.
I realise the nation’s prosperity is also my prosperity. Kunaka kwazvo kwanakirawo ini!! I also realise what God can do using a small group of women. You do not need to belong to an organised body, to be known for anything or to have anything – all you need is a good pair of knees and a willing heart. Wherever you are, say a prayer of blessing for Zimbabwe. GOD BLESS Zimbabwe !!!!!!!

Munashe’s experience
The conference was just extraordinary with not much of singing but the actual presence and movement of the Holy Spirit.
As a man, I had never understood the issue or complications of birthing, but through teaching and practical demonstration of what takes place I now know what giving birth is.
As a man, I felt good and benefited a lot from the teachings and impartations that took place. It was like being in a maternity ward with other patients where you forget about the next person but focus on what is about to be brought into the world.
The last thing was the issue of prophecy and taking dominion. This really struck me as it emerged that the first thing that is attacked by the devil is the family. Once the family is not in good shape, there is no dominion, and it was stated clearly that “small houses” are a major cause of problems, and women have to claim what is theirs and try at all cost to block the avenues that are mostly used by the devil.
It was a motivational arena for women to take part in industry and commerce as it is clear that when God is about to do something great, he uses a woman.
By the end of the day I was a woman in mind, crafting ways of looking after my mental and spiritual pregnancy by constantly monitoring my spiritual diet, because one way or the other, there is a female element in everyone that gives birth to great things.
From the Diaspora
Duncan Mbonjani ([email protected]) wrote from The Netherlands a day before the conference and said: “I found the idea of the conference a special show of dedication to country, people and national sovereignty. It is a demonstration of divine power to alter the course of a nation. Understanding, knowledge and wisdom all begin with the fear of God, and these are necessary in sustaining and uplifting life.
“Our country battered from all sides by those who believe for themselves and would like others to share in this their misguided and mischievous belief that God made a mistake by giving us dominion over this our country called Zimbabwe and all its resources, needs lots of understanding, knowledge and wisdom at this juncture to guide our affairs and guard our inheritance.
When a given situation gets desperate, a desperate solution is required. The Bible in Mark 2:4 tells the story of 4 friends who brought their friend to a house where Jesus was teaching.
They believed and had faith that Jesus would heal their friend. They wanted their friend to be healed. Their situation became desperate. How would they bring their friend to Jesus?
Four desperate men looked around for any possible access to Jesus. There seemed none. In desperation they looked at the roof and there lay their solution. They climbed and opened the roof and lowered their friend to where Jesus was sitting. A desperate solution for a desperate problem!
I salute you mothers and sisters of our nation! I will join in the prayer and fasting tomorrow. I have also written to brothers and sisters at our Church – The International Christian Centre, Nijmegen, The Netherlands, informing them about the Conference and inviting them to take part.
