AN 85-year-old woman was yesterday granted a protection order against her abusive son.

Gogo Fembe accused her son, Joshua Fembe, 58, of verbal and physical abuse.

She pleaded with the court to help her evict Joshua from her house.

Gogo Fembe added that she was pushed and shoved by Joshua while he was drunk.

“He insults and assaults me and that is why he must vacate my house.

“He pushed me to the ground when he was drunk,” she said.

Joshua argued that the house in question also belongs to him.

“I have been staying at the house and taking care of her my whole life.

“The issue started when I married a second wife.

“The day she is saying I pushed her to the ground, I was only protecting my pregnant wife whom she was harassing,” he said.

Magistrate Judith Taruvinga granted the protection order.

She ordered Joshua to move out of the house by December 31.
