GOGO Plaxedes Mashasha will now face trial for not reporting the death of her husband.
She stayed with the corpse of her husband, which was in a decomposing state, at their Zengeza 3 home.
The court ruled that she was mentally stable to face trial.
She appeared in the Chitungwiza Magistrates’ Court on Friday and was further remanded to December 15 for bail application.
Dressed in a prison garb, Gogo Mashasha sat quietly in court.
A number of her relatives came to follow the proceedings.
“We came to follow the court proceedings of Gogo Mashasha,” said one of the relatives.
“We do not have any comment about this matter, and we expected to be given a chance to talk to her,” he said.
Gogo Mashasha’s late husband, Gideon Mashasha, was laid to rest at his rural home in Gwanda.
Her son, Grant, who had been confined to the house for 10 years, is still in the hands of social welfare and health officials.
