HERENTALS Under-20, PAM United and Golden Valley players are proving to be the deadliest in the ZIFA Division One Northern Region.

Leading the race for the Golden Boot is Al Buraak’s Kalunga Tambwe and former CAPS United and Harare City striker Honey Chimutimunzeve who both have four goals to their credit.

Golden Valley have Gilbert Mbare, Joseph Munyukwa and Mamina Tongai on three goals while Herentals and PAM United have Salif Cheya, Clinton Jimu, Tendai Mufuguri and Ernest Takundwa also on three goals apiece.

Herentals coach, Kumbirai Mutiwekuziva, will have a tough time come mid-season as the players at the developmental side continue to knock on the doors of the senior team.

He isalso a member of the junior side technical team.

Mutiwekuziva could not be reached for comment but his forwards, who joined the competitive Division One league this season, are proving to be quality players.
