THE Zimbabwe Golf Association inaugural national golf awards, which were scheduled for Rainbow Towers have been moved to Chapman today.
The awards will be running under the theme “Celebrating Golf Excellence” and are part of an initiative to explore ways to promote the game. Yolanda Mubaiwa will win the Female Amateur Golfer of the Year award. Daniele Bekker is also guaranteed the Female Junior Golfer of the Year award.
Meanwhile, Thembelani Vundhla increased his lead on the Zimbabwe Golf Association Order of Merit to 70 points as the race for the Eisenhower Trophy continues.
Vundhla currently sits on 221 points. Visitor Mapwanya is ranked second on 151 points with Stuart Krog third on 139 points.
