Gone forever

Natasha January

Birds migrating from East to West,

Heartbroken and stingy eyes,

Felt like someone had thrown sand in them.

A river flowing down my cheeks,

Every year the day reminds me of him,

Painful memories.

Remembering the last time he helped me with my homework,

Reluctantly I said goodbye for the last time as they closed the casket,

The thought that we shall never meet again tearing my heart apart.

Oh dear, maybe we shall meet again in the afterlife.
