The accident, which left three-year-old Nozipho with a ruptured bladder, occurred in February last year along 6th Avenue in Bulawayo.
Young Nozipho now uses a urinary tube as her bladder is dysfunctional.
A representative of Mothers of Bulawayo, the group spearheading Nozipho’s campaign, Mrs Irene Sigauke said the results of the tests done by the urologist showed that Nozipho would be able to live a normal life after an operation.
However, she said Nozipho would have to endure a 14-day stay in hospital for the operation and recovery.
“The doctor said we should come next week on Monday so that we could map a way forward for Nozipho’s condition.
“If there is an operation Nozipho would go for a 14-day stay in hospital, her stay would include her operation and recovery,” said Mrs Sigauke.
She thanked well-wishers who had supported Nozipho, saying they all showed a kind heart towards the little girl.
Nozipho’s mother said she was pleased with the progress that had been done due to the doctor’s findings.
She was full of thanks and praise for all well-wishers that contributed to Nozipho’s well-being.
Since last month, a total of $1 970 has been raised towards Nozipho’s medical bill showing the concern that the Bulawayo residents had for her and the spirit of ubuntu they exhibited.
