GOSPEL musician Leornard Chibamu has penned a song dedicated to the bus accident in which eight Anglican pilgrims were burnt beyond recognition.

When tragedy struck, the pilgrims were on their way from the church’s Bernard Mizeki Annual Festival in Marondera on Sunday.

Chibamu, a member of the Anglican Church, released the song ‘Munyaradzi’ to comfort and give hope to the church and relatives of those involved in the accident.

In an interview with The Sunday Mail Online, Chibamu said music uniquely provides healing and peace in times of profound loss.

“The lyrics of the song draw heavily from Ecclesiastes 3 verse 1-2, serving as a poignant reminder of the seasons of life. The song captures the weight of collective grief and the plea for divine strength and comfort,” Chibamu said.

He said he hoped the song will be therapeutic to all those mourning.

“As the Anglican community grapples with the aftermath of this tragedy, ‘Munyaradzi’ serves as a poignant reminder of the resilience and unity that can be found in shared faith and shared grief,” he said.
