Gospel, dendera, sungura showdown at Harare Gardens

Sunday hold a high-octane concert in the Harare Gardens.
The family gig will give children and their parents some quality entertainment in a serene environment.
The three musicians are arguably some of the most consistent performing artistes in Zimbabwe and the show is one not to be missed.

Sulu, as his fans affectionately call him, has featured in a number of high-profile gigs this year including the Winter Jazz Festival.
The young musician has proved that he is a force to reckon with in the music industry by putting up five- star performances, which has left crowds crying for more.
Sulu is currently riding high with his hit song “Kwedu”, which has received rave reviews from fans and in the media.

The “Non-Stop” singer will also take revellers down memory lane as he belts out some of the sing-along tunes by his late father Simon “Chopper” Chimbetu.
His backing group, the Orchestra Dendera Kings, is expected to give their all judging from their performance at the Heroesplush Gala last weekend.
Moyo, or simply Dhewa to his fans, needs no introduction as he knows how to wow the audiences.

Dhewa has churned out several hits, which include “Zakeo”, “Naye” and “Muchina Muhombe” which have endeared him with fans in Zimbabwe and abroad.
The artiste has toured several countries, which include United Kingdom, South Africa and Botswana, where he delivered polished acts.

Dhewa has collaborated with artistes like Somandla Ndebele and despite battling with cancer, the artiste is still going strong.
The “Naye” hitmaker, who popularised “Sele” dance has another dance called “Officer”, which is already a favourite of many during his live shows.

Flipping the script a bit, gospel lovers will be equally entertained when Fungisai performs some of her hit songs such as “Makomborero”, “Pemberai” and “Ndiye Jesu” that have made her a household name in gospel circles.

The mother of three has more than five albums to her name and has shown that being a mother is no hindrance to her successful career.
Her discography include albums such as “Toita Zvedenga”, “Ndiye Jesu” and her latest album titled “Highway” has solidified her place in Zimbabwe’s elite musicians. Fungisai is known for whipping fans into a frenzy every time she takes to the stage.

There will also be plenty of fun for the children from Ajigija The Clown, who has made a name for himself as he has toured several schools and managed to make children laugh with his crazy antics.
If anything, this is a chance for families to enjoy a mixed bag of sungura and gospel music on one stage.
