Two Zimbabwean gospel music powerhouses, Bulawayo-based Mai Mwamuka and Mutare’s Dorcas Moyo, have joined forces on a new single, Mavodloza.

Released last month, the song is rapidly gaining popularity across radio stations nationwide.

Mai Mwamuka shared the inspiration behind the track.
“Mavodloza speaks of an individual who is unstoppable, unconquerable, and a relentless barrier-breaker. It’s drawn from Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV), which declares: ‘No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me.'”

Reflecting on the collaboration, Dorcas Moyo said: “We worked on the track last year, and I can say it was an incredible experience collaborating with such a talented, focused, and spiritually deep artiste.”

Meanwhile, Mai Mwamuka is set to launch the first live session of Worship Well 2025, a Thanksgiving event, tomorrow. She revealed that this year’s edition will expand beyond traditional venues, reaching homes, families, villages, cities, churches, conferences, all-night prayers, prayer retreats, crusades, weddings, parliament, schools, and hospitals. – Follow on X: @mthabisi_mthire
