‘Gospel music is not about competition’

BUDIRIRO-based gospel singer Pasca Nhemachena says he is sitting on 32 songs, which are yet to be released, and blasted those who believe in competition.

Nhemachena, who has been in the industry since 2016, has been yearning for a breakthrough, but to no avail.

“I started music in 2016 and I am still yet to see the breakthrough.

“I have 32 songs in total and most of them have not been released due to lack of financial support.

“Singing is not about money but seeking guidance from God.

“We are living in a world that is in need of the gospel and gospel music helps to lighten the burdens which people are carrying,” said the artist.

“Gospel music is not about competition.  I believe in just playing a part in redeeming the world through gospel music.

“God gave me the talent and I sing to spread the message to the world that is in need of the good work of the Lord.

“So, competing with anyone doesn’t give me a meaning.”

Pasca has songs which include Ndisimudzeiwo Mwari, Kutenda Mwari, Jesu vanodzoka, Ngoma Yedenga, Zimbabwe, among others.
