Award winning Zimbabwean gospel musician Janet Manyowa who began her musical journey in 2014 when she recorded her first single Amazing God is set to release a new album this year.

The Zadzisa hit maker says she is looking forward to releasing her album titled Grateful before the end of the year.

She said this in an interview with Sunday Life following the release of her single Tomutenda nei this month.

“Tomutenda nei is a single leading up to my upcoming album called Grateful which is to be released this year,” she said.

The single is different from her other songs and the singer says it is perfect for expressing the joy she was experiencing.

“The song comes from a place of gratitude. I would say that it was inspired by the numerous testimonies that I received after Zadzisa, of God fulfilling his promises to his people,” said Manyowa.

She added: “There is no particular reason why the song is different from my previous songs, the tempo and the vibe the song carries were perfect to express the words and happiness we were experiencing.”

The star said she is still working on the video for the single.

“We are currently working on the video, a release date is not yet out but the plan is to release the video as soon as possible before the release of the album,” she said.
