GOSPEL musician, Marbel Madondo, says she is planning to pay tribute to her father, Fortune, with a live recording.
Her dad died on May 12.
He died on her birthday and she is planning to honour his legacy with a live DVD recording event titled ‘Loved By You’.
Marbel’s representative, Israel Sebenzo, said it will be a celebration of her father’s legacy.
The live recording is scheduled for June 16 at the Signs & Wonders Church in 7 Arts Avondale, Harare.
The event will be a heartfelt celebration of her father’s life and the impact he had on her journey.
“This event is more than just a live recording, it’s a celebration of life, love and the enduring legacy of a man who inspired many through his faith and family.
“Marbel’s performance will, undoubtedly, reflect the deep emotions and cherished memories she holds dear, highlighting the profound impact her father had on her and many others.
“The ‘Loved By You’ live recording will feature an array of supporting artists, including Petronellah Sengwayo, Jonah Chivasa, Tsitsi Kudita, Prophecy, Cleo Aire, Bryan K Bibo and Jason Gwanzura.”
Fortune was laid to rest at Glen Forest last week.
Marbel is known for her soulful voice and inspirational music.
She rose to prominence with her emotionally powerful performances and has released several albums.
Her recent work includes the album, “The 1st STAND,” which explores a variety of musical genres and themes.
She continues to draw inspiration from her late sister, Jackie, and is committed to honouring her family’s musical legacy.
