Gospel lovers are in for a treat at Chipaz 10th anniversary set for Gwanzura Stadium on Sunday. The show will see Mutare-based musician Blessing Shumba sharing stage with Mathias Mhere. This comes after rumour suggested the two were not in good books.
However Shumba instated there was no bad blood between him and Mhere.

“The show will be yet another platform to tell people that we are only missionaries of God. The story that we were once in jail is a big lie,” said Shumba.

Mhere echoed Shumba’s sediments saying there was no beef between them.

“He sometime passes onto me some of his engagements if he is tied up, showing that there is no bad blood between us,” said Mhere.

The show will see Charles Charamba sharing the stage with Trymore Bande who has been called a copy cat of the pastor.

A police report was made by Charamba’s management after they saw some of Bande’s CDs written featuring Charamba.

The Nyika Zimbabwe had this to say on Bande “ He came to me telling me about what happened and I don’t see if there is any problem about that,” he said.

Bande castigated people who call him a “copycat” saying it was wrong for them to label him like that.

Bande earlier on told this publication that he respects Charamba as his mentor and role model who inspired him.

Other artists who will feature on that day are Sebastain Magacha, Fungisai Zvakavapano and Phainos Jaravaza.

Patson Chimbodza said other upcoming artists who were willing to perform at the event were welcome.

“These are not only the artists who will be performing but we are saying it will be a platform for them to come and showcase their talent on that day,” said Chimbodza.

These gospel musicians will participate in the Chipaz match that will be played on Saturday with Charamba being the coach of the artists.
