GOSPEL and Zimdancehall artist, Gevha, left fans asking for more when he performed at Jongwe Corner last weekend.

Gevha, who has tattoos, was the curtain-raiser for Enzo Ishall’s show.

Gevha delivered an energetic performance, typical of Jamaican chanters, and left the fans crying out for more.

The artist told H-Metro he was a born-again Christian.

“Firstly I am a Christian and I am happy because my fans were singing along to my songs. Some people do not have a chance to hear the word of God.

“I once heard one pastor dissing a Rastaman and I observed that there are many who do not have a chance to hear the word of God and this is what led me to decide to sing gospel songs.”

One of the fans, who identified herself as Miss Musindo, praised Gevha for his talent, especially his creativity.

“As you can see, I am a young woman who still needs to be entertained and the beat of this era is dancehall and Amapiano.

“It was hard for me to follow Zim dancehall music because of their dirty lyrics. However, Gevha changed my mind because he doesn’t sing vulgar lyrics,” she said.
